After a long night of sitting, Gautama Buddha saw the morning star and attained enlightenment. In the Zen tradition, we commemorate this event with our own night of strong practice. Rohatsu, the Japanese term for this celebration, is a time to go deeply into our zazen with openness, joy, and gratitude.
